About Summit Physio.
Summit Physio is a Christchurch-based physiotherapy team specialising in in-home physiotherapy and aged residential care services. While we are based in Christchurch, we support clients and facilities across wider South Island centres.
OUR STORY
About us.
Summit Physio was founded by Jane and Catherine following many years working together within Community Therapy Services at Canterbury Hospital. That experience gave them a deep understanding of the challenges people face when managing neurological conditions, disability, reduced mobility, and falls risk at home and in the community.
Their goal was to build a physiotherapy practice where strong clinical skills went hand in hand with a genuine understanding of long-term conditions, complex injuries, and the realities of aged care, for both individuals and the facilities that support them.
Today, Summit Physio has grown into a dedicated team of experienced community physiotherapists, working within people's homes and aged residential care settings across the region. Our clinicians bring a range of hospital and community backgrounds, and we have now spent over 15 years consistently providing physiotherapy into aged residential care facilities.

OUR APPROACH
Good physiotherapy is about more than exercises.
It is about helping people feel capable, confident, and safe in their everyday lives.
We take a warm, practical approach, working closely with the people around our clients, whether that is family members, carers, or care teams, to make sure everyone is supported and working toward the same goals.
Support that makes everyday life easier
Whether you are looking for physiotherapy at home, support for a loved one, or physiotherapy services for your aged care facility, we are here to help.
